In 2013, Actshun was wrongfully and falsely convicted of CSC IV (criminal sexual conduct fourth degree, a misdemeanor that holds authority like a felony), in which he wasn’t incarcerated, but systematically imprisoned. This caused turmoil in his life which created depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. He turned his life around and now wants to assist those who have also lost their way to find themselves again, too, all while still trying to clear their name.
Can you imagine being charged with a crime you you did not commit, convicted by a jury of “your” peers, and sentenced whether it’s being locked up or put on some false security list that you have to pay to be kept on or even worse put on death row? The wrongfully convicted are some most grievously injured people in our society. Its by the same system that supposedly has the authority to fix and right the wrong but they don’t!
This is my story
In 2013, Actshun was wrongfully and falsely convicted of CSC IV (criminal sexual conduct fourth degree, a misdemeanor that holds authority like a felony), in which he wasn’t incarcerated, but systematically imprisoned.
He is taking many steps to ensure that he gets exonerated from this horrific turn of events. Even though he is going through he has made the best out of it. The people he has encountered along this journey to freedom changed the way he looks at life. Not saying he is happy he went through this but having a better outlook is worth the struggle.
In 2013, I was falsely convicted of a crime. I wasn’t sent to prison, but I was systematically and mentally institutionalized. This tragic event had caused turmoil and trauma that almost broke me. If it wasn’t for my undying admiration to not let myself fall victim to the demons of depression and poverty, I would have been DEAD! I survived this horrific event with the help of family and friends and want to be the inspiration for others to overcome and never succumb to situations like this written here within this text.
